Chateau de Saint Cosme is the oldest viticultural site in Gigondas (located in Southwestern France in the Rhone Valley). With 25 ancient Gallo-Roman wine vats carved into the walls of the villa, the specialization of this place and its agriculture is clear. First made to feed the weary soldiers of the Second Roman Legion, Louis Barruol is now the 14th generation of his family to make wine at Saint Cosme and today, luckily, it is made to feed us as well!
